Before You Buy: Check These 2 Things
To use Audikast 4 with your hearing aids and TV, both your hearing aids and your TV connection must be compatible.
You only need to check 2 things
Don't worry if you're not familiar with hearing aid models or TV ports. We'll show you what to look for below.
Find Your Hearing Aid Brand
Audikast 4 connects directly only to compatible Auracast™ hearing aids. Find your brand below and check the model name carefully.
Check the name in your hearing aid app, charging case, original box, purchase paperwork, or ask your hearing care provider for the exact model name. The exact model matters — the brand alone is not enough.
It may not currently support a direct Auracast™ connection with Audikast 4. Check the exact model with your hearing aid manufacturer or hearing care provider before purchasing.
Check the Back or Side of Your TV
Now look for at least one of the two audio outputs shown below. The port may be on the back or side of your TV.
If your TV has Optical OR 3.5 mm AUX / Headphone Audio Out, it has a direct audio connection that Audikast 4 can use.
Optical
A small square-shaped digital audio port.
3.5 mm AUX / Headphone Out
A small round audio port similar to a headphone jack.
Not sure what ports your TV has?
You don't need to recognize every connection. Try these simple ways to find out:
Only see HDMI ARC / eARC?
Audikast 4 does not connect directly to HDMI. If your TV only provides HDMI audio output, additional equipment may be required to extract the audio before it can connect to Audikast 4.
Check your TV's other ports carefully before deciding that HDMI is the only available connection.
Using a soundbar?
Your setup depends on how the soundbar connects to the TV. Optical soundbars may use an Optical splitter, while HDMI ARC soundbars require a different setup.
