Headphones Not Reconnecting Automatically?

If you use the original HT5009 Plus headphones together with a second Bluetooth headphone or speaker, the order you turn them on matters.

Turn on Headphones 1 first.

The original HT5009 Plus headphones are Headphones 1. Your additional Bluetooth headphone or speaker is Headphones 2.

Use This Power-On Order

Recommended

Headphones 1 → Headphones 2

Turn on the original HT5009 Plus headphones first.

Then turn on the second Bluetooth headphone or speaker. Both should reconnect to the transmitter automatically.

Headphones 2 Was Turned On First?

The original HT5009 Plus headphones may not reconnect automatically.

Use the reconnection step below.

Reconnect the Original Headphones

Press the Headphones 1 button on the transmitter once, or press the silver button on the left earcup once.

After charging the headphones

The headphones turn off while charging and do not automatically power back on, even if the switch is still at ON. Move the OFF / ON / PAIR switch to OFF, then back to ON.

Turn off Bluetooth on nearby devices

When using the headphones with the Avantree transmitter, temporarily turn off Bluetooth on nearby TVs, phones, computers, or speakers that may try to connect to the headphones.

Still Not Reconnecting?

If the original headphones no longer reconnect reliably even when you turn them on first, pair the headphones with the transmitter again and lock the connection.

Still Having Trouble?

Original Headphones Do Not Reconnect

Turn off the second Bluetooth headphone or speaker.
Turn off Bluetooth on nearby TVs, phones, computers, and speakers.
Turn the original HT5009 Plus headphones OFF, then ON again.
Press the Headphones 1 button on the transmitter once if needed.
If they still do not connect, use the Pair & Lock guide above.

Headphones Were Just Removed From Charging

Charging powers the headphones off. Even if the switch still appears to be at ON, move it to OFF first and then back to ON.

Another Device Keeps Taking the Connection

Temporarily disable Bluetooth on nearby devices that were previously paired with the headphones. Then restart the headphones and transmitter and try again.
