Slumber - Firmware Update Guide (v2.0)

Purpose of Update: 

1. The Avantree Slumber plays tracks in random order, even when set to sequential mode.
2. It resolves an issue with background noise during playback.

Required Materials:

1. Avantree Slumber
2. Access to a computer to download the firmware file

Instructions:

1. Download the Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU) File:
   • Download the firmware file named "Media product tool V2.10.07.rar" from the provided link.
   • Open "Media product tool V2.10.07" and select "setup.exe" from the list. When prompted, click “Yes”.
   • Follow the prompts by clicking “Next” until the installation is complete.
   • Click "Close" to exit.
2. Find Multimedia Product Tool:
   • Download “firmware.zip” and note its saved location for later use.
   • Open "Multimedia Product Tool" in "all programs" on your computer and click “Yes” when prompted.                                                                                                                                           
   • Locate and select the previously downloaded "firmware.zip" file.   
   • Choose the firmware labeled "2853C_FENGJINGSHENG" and click "Open". 
   • On the next screen, click the button below and select "2853C_FENGJINGSHENG".
3. Power on Slumber:
   • Connect your Avantree Slumber to your PC’s USB port for power. Ensure that the On/Off switch is in the "On" position so that the Slumber will be recognized as a U disk for DFU.
   • When the arrow button lights up green, click it. 
   • Wait for the process to complete. Do not disconnect or power off until the update indicates “Successful”.                                                                                                                                       
4. Finalizing the Update:
   • Slide the On/Off switch to the off position and then turn it back on to complete the update process.
   • The play modes should now function correctly, and the background noise issue should be resolved.
