How to pair Airpods with the SoundJet R2? – Avantree Support

Connect Your AirPods to SoundJet R2

Follow these simple steps to connect your AirPods or AirPods Pro to the Avantree SoundJet R2 Bluetooth transmitter.

Important: Turn Off Bluetooth on Nearby Apple Devices

AirPods may automatically reconnect to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac instead of the SoundJet R2. Temporarily turn Bluetooth OFF on those devices before pairing.

Put SoundJet R2 into Pairing Mode

Slide the SoundJet R2 power switch to ON.

Press and hold the Multi-Function Button (MFB) until the connection indicator flashes RED and BLUE alternately.

Action PRESS & HOLD MFB

Release the button when the LED starts flashing red and blue.

Flashing RED / BLUE SoundJet R2 is ready to connect.

Put Your AirPods into Pairing Mode

AirPods / AirPods Pro — Case with Setup Button

Place both AirPods inside their charging case.
Open the charging case lid.
Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case.
Release the button when the status light flashes WHITE.

AirPods 4 / Newer Cases Without a Setup Button

Place both AirPods inside the charging case.
Open the charging case lid.
Double-tap the front of the case until the status light flashes white.

Pairing controls can vary by AirPods generation. Follow Apple's instructions if your case uses a different pairing method.

Wait for the Devices to Connect

Keep your AirPods and SoundJet R2 close together.

Wait approximately 5–10 seconds for them to connect.

Check the Connection Once connected, play audio from your source to confirm that you can hear it through your AirPods.

Connection Complete

Your AirPods are ready to receive audio through the SoundJet R2.

AirPods Still Not Connecting?

Make sure Bluetooth is turned off on nearby iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
Confirm the SoundJet R2 is flashing RED and BLUE alternately.
Confirm the AirPods case is flashing WHITE.
Keep both devices close together and try pairing again.
If pairing still fails, reset the SoundJet R2 and your AirPods, then repeat the pairing steps.
