Before You Start: Duet headphones connect to the transmitter using 2.4 GHz wireless—not Bluetooth. The headphones included with Duet are already paired and should connect automatically when turned on.
When pairing, turn off the TV to reduce interference. Keep the transmitter and headphones away from microwaves, Wi-Fi routers, and other nearby wireless devices.
Step 1 – Connect the Included Headphones
- Turn on the Duet transmitter and both headphones.
- Keep the headphones near the transmitter and wait a few seconds.
- Check that each headphone’s light turns solid blue.
Step 2 – Manual Pairing
If headphones don’t connect automatically, pair them one at a time near the transmitter. Follow the same steps to connect additional headphones.
- Turn on the Duet transmitter. Slide and hold its switch at PAIR until its LED flashes red and blue.
- Turn on one headphone. Slide and hold its switch at PAIR until its LED flashes red and blue.
- Keep both devices close and wait about 3–5 seconds. Their LEDs turn solid blue when connected.
Important: Put the transmitter and headphone in pairing mode at the same time. Do not select the headphones in your TV’s Bluetooth settings.
Still Not Pairing?
- Turn off the transmitter/base and headphone. Wait 10 seconds, then turn them back on.
- Keep the headphone close to the transmitter.
- Restart pairing mode on both devices. Check that the transmitter and headphone LEDs are each flashing red and blue at the same time.
