Disconnected Bluetooth headphones, an incorrect computer or console audio output, or muted volume can prevent sound. Follow these 3 steps to fix the problem.
Check the Bluetooth Headphone Connection
Rapid flashing blue and white LEDs indicate pairing mode. Your headphones may not be connected or may have reconnected to another device, such as your phone.
Plug DG60P into a compatible USB port and check the LED indicator.
The rapid pairing flashes stop. Continue to Step 2 .
Pairing mode is active. Follow the steps below.
LED note: DG60P may show blue or green in Music Mode and white in Talk Mode. These colors alone do not mean the headphones are disconnected. Look for the rapid pairing flashes.
If Your Headphones Are Not Connected
- Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, or computers previously paired with your headphones.
- Put your headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode. Simply turning them on may not activate pairing.
- Press and hold DG60P's Multifunction Button (MFB) until the LED flashes blue and white rapidly.
- Keep DG60P and your headphones close together while both devices are in pairing mode.
- Wait for the connection. The rapid LED flashing should stop or slow.
Important: Do not pair your headphones through the computer's Bluetooth settings. DG60P works as a USB audio adapter, and the headphones must pair directly with it.
Find Pairing Instructions for Your HeadphonesCheck compatibility: DG60P works with compatible Bluetooth headphones and speakers. Headsets that support only a proprietary 2.4 GHz USB dongle cannot connect directly to DG60P. View Compatibility Information .
Check the Computer or Console Audio Output
Your computer or console may be sending audio to the wrong output device. Select Avantree DG60P as the audio output.
Follow the instructions for your audio source. Device names and menu labels may vary.
Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound .
Under Output, select Avantree DG60P.
Play music or a video to test the sound.
Go to System Settings > Sound > Output .
Select Avantree DG60P instead of the Mac's built-in speakers.
Go to Settings > Sound > Audio Output .
Under Output Device, select the connected USB audio headset / DG60P.
If needed, set Output to Headphones to All Audio.
Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices .
Set Output Device to the connected Avantree USB audio device.
Set Output to Headphones to All Audio.
Using Zoom, Teams, Discord, or another communication app? Check the app's own audio settings and select Avantree DG60P as the speaker output. Some apps use a different device from the computer's default audio output.
Check the Volume and Audio Mode
Muted volume, low headphone volume, or an incorrect Music / Talk Mode setting may prevent normal audio playback.
Check the Volume
- Play a video, music track, or game with sound.
- Make sure your computer or console is not muted.
- Increase the volume on your computer or console.
- Increase the volume on your Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
- Confirm that the application or game you're using is not muted.
Check the DG60P Audio Mode
- For listening to music, watching videos, or playing games, use Music Mode.
- If the DG60P is in Talk Mode and audio playback is not working as expected, close any application using the headset microphone.
- Double-click the DG60P MFB button to switch between Music and Talk modes.
- Test the audio again.
Important: DG60P may automatically switch into Talk Mode when a communication app activates the Bluetooth headset microphone. Music Mode is recommended for normal listening, while Talk Mode supports compatible voice-chat use.
Still No Sound?
- Unplug DG60P from the USB port.
- Connect it to another compatible USB port. Avoid an unpowered USB hub if possible.
- Reselect Avantree DG60P in your computer or console audio settings.
- Try another pair of compatible Bluetooth headphones to help determine whether the issue is with the adapter or the original headphones.
