Fix No Sound After Setup
Start with the transmitter's audio signal light. It quickly tells you whether the problem is coming from the TV connection or the headphones.
Most no-sound problems are caused by the wrong TV audio output, an unsupported audio format, the wrong transmitter input, or the headphones not being in Base mode.
Quick No-Sound Check
Follow these steps in order. Stop when the sound returns.
Check the Transmitter Audio Signal Light
Play a TV program with sound and look at the transmitter's audio signal indicator.
Match the Cable and Input Selector
The transmitter input must match the cable connected to your TV.
Make Sure the Headphones Are in Base Mode
Move the headphone mode switch to Base. This is the correct mode when using the headphones with the Crescendo 3D transmitter.
Check the Headphone Connection
The headphone LED should become solid blue when connected.
Reconnect the Audio Cable
Unplug the audio cable from both the TV and transmitter, then reconnect it firmly. Restart the transmitter and test again.
What You Want to See
The transmitter's audio signal light is solid white, the headphones are in Base mode, and the headphone LED is solid blue.
If the Audio Signal Light Is Flashing White
Open the section that matches how Crescendo 3D is connected to your TV.
Using Optical
Make sure the optical cable is connected to the TV's Optical OUT port, not an input.
Set the TV's Digital Audio Output Format to PCM. Dolby, DTS, Bitstream, Auto, or Pass Through may prevent the transmitter from receiving usable audio.
Using HDMI ARC
Connect the transmitter to the TV HDMI port labeled ARC or eARC.
Set the TV's digital audio format to PCM.
If the TV is using eARC and there is still no sound, turn eARC off and test standard ARC.
Using AUX / Headphone Output
Make sure the cable is connected to the TV's Headphone or Audio OUT jack.
Increase the TV volume because many TVs control the headphone output level directly.
Sound Works on TV Channels but Not Netflix, Prime Video, Roku, Fire TV, etc.
If normal TV audio works but a specific app or streaming device has no sound, that source may be sending Dolby or another incompatible format.
Change the app, TV, or streaming device audio setting to PCM / Stereo.
