Harmony A1 – Keep the Speaker ON While Plugged In
By default, Harmony A1 turns OFF after 60 minutes with no audio, even when connected to a broadcast.
Plugged into power = Speaker stays ON. It stays ON even when no audio is playing.
Step 1 – Install the Avantree Updater
Download and install the Avantree Updater on your computer. Open it when installation is complete.
Download Harmony A1 UpdaterStep 2 – Connect and Update the Harmony A1
Connect the Harmony A1 directly to your computer using a USB data cable.
Follow the instructions shown in the Avantree Updater. Keep the speaker connected until the update is complete.
Step 3 – Reset the Speaker
- Turn the Harmony A1 ON.
- Press and hold + and − together for 5 seconds.
- Watch the MODE LED.
Solid PINK for 2 seconds
Flashing ORANGE = Reset complete
Test the New Setting
- Connect the Harmony A1 to external power.
- Turn the speaker ON.
- Leave it plugged in.
Something Doesn’t Look Right?
Computer Does Not Detect the Speaker
Try another USB data cable. A charging-only cable can power the speaker but may not allow the firmware update.
Speaker Still Turns OFF After 60 Minutes
Make sure you completed both the firmware update and the + and − reset for 5 seconds. Then test again while the speaker is connected to external power.
Speaker No Longer Connects After the Update
This is expected after the reset because the previous pairing history is cleared. Reconnect the Harmony A1 to your device or Auracast broadcast.
