Follow these checks in order. Start with the audio source and transmitter input before troubleshooting the receiver or hearing aids.
First, check whether audio is reaching the transmitter.
Play audio from your TV, sound system, mixer, microphone system, or phone, then check the AuraPlex MX input and signal.
Make Sure the Audio Source Is Playing
Play something with clear audio and increase the source volume to a normal listening level.
- TV / sound system: play a program you know has sound.
- Phone: start music or another audio track.
- Mixer / microphone system: confirm there is an active audio signal.
Match the Transmitter Input to Your Connection
The selected input must match the audio connection you are using.
Check Whether the Transmitter Is Receiving Audio
Look at the input LED while audio is playing.
Using Optical? Set the Audio Format to PCM
If AuraPlex MX is connected through Optical, open the audio settings on your TV or source device.
Dolby, DTS, Bitstream, or other surround-sound formats may result in no sound.
Transmitter Has Audio, but You Still Hear Nothing?
Continue with the section that matches how you are listening.
Using an AuraPlex MX Receiver
- Make sure the receiver is powered on.
- Push the wired earphones fully into the receiver's 3.5 mm jack.
- Increase the receiver volume.
- If the receiver is searching for the broadcast, turn it off and back on to reconnect.
Using Your Own Hearing Aids
- Confirm that your hearing aids support Auracast.
- Open the hearing aid companion app or Auracast assistant.
- Scan for available Auracast broadcasts.
- Select the AuraPlex MX broadcast and join it.
- If the broadcast does not appear, move closer to the transmitter and scan again.
Not all hearing aids support Auracast. Check compatibility before troubleshooting the connection further.
Check Hearing Aid Compatibility →Still No Sound? Restart the Connection
If the settings above look correct, restart the system before changing anything else.
- Turn off the AuraPlex MX transmitter and receivers.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Turn the transmitter back on first.
- Start playing audio from the source.
- Turn the receiver or hearing aids back on and reconnect to the broadcast.
Test AUX or Bluetooth if available. If another input works, the AuraPlex MX broadcast is working and the issue is likely with the original audio source, cable, or source settings.
