Medley Pebble: One or Both Earbuds Not Charging?
Follow the steps below to restore charging and confirm that each earbud is making proper contact with the charging base.
How do I know the earbuds are charging?
When an earbud is seated correctly in the charging base, its LED should remain
solid red.
Charging time: About 2 hours.
Make sure both earbuds are seated correctly in the charging base and check for the red charging light.
Step 1 – Check the Power Source
Connect the charging base using the original USB cable.
-
Connect the USB cable securely to the charging base.
-
Connect it to a standard 5V/1A USB power source.
-
You can use a standard USB charger, computer USB port, or power bank.
Important:
Avoid 9V or 12V fast chargers. Use a standard 5V/1A power source whenever possible.
Solid red LED = Charging successfully.
If one or both earbuds do not show a red light, continue to Step 2.
Step 2 – Reseat the Earbuds
-
Remove both earbuds from the charging base.
-
Place the left earbud in the L slot and the right earbud in the R slot.
-
Allow the magnets to pull the earbuds into position.
-
Gently press each earbud down to make sure it is touching the charging pins.
Solid red LED = The earbud is now charging.
If the light appears only when you press or move the earbud, continue to Step 3.
Step 3 – Clean the Charging Contacts
Dust, oil, or residue can prevent the earbuds from making a proper charging connection.
-
Remove the earbuds from the charging base.
-
Wipe the gold charging contacts on each earbud with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.
-
Clean the charging pins inside the base.
-
If needed, use a cotton swab lightly dampened with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
-
Allow the contacts to dry completely before charging again.
Also check for dust, lint, or protective plastic film around the charging contacts.
Solid red LED = The charging connection has been restored.
If there is still no red light, continue to Step 4.
Step 4 – Check the Charging Pins
-
Look closely at the small charging pins inside the charging base.
-
Gently press each charging pin.
-
Each pin should move down and spring back up normally.
-
If a pin appears stuck, gently clean around it and test it again.
Place the earbuds back into the charging base after checking the pins.
Solid red LED = Charging successfully.
If the earbud still does not charge, continue to Step 5.
Step 5 – Try Another Cable and Power Source
This step helps determine whether the problem is caused by the USB cable or power source.
-
Try another compatible USB charging cable.
-
Try another USB port or power outlet.
-
Use a standard 5V/1A USB power adapter.
Place the earbuds back into the charging base after changing the cable or power source.
Solid red LED = Charging has started.
Leave the earbuds charging for about 2 hours.
If the earbuds were completely discharged:
Leave them seated in the charging base with the solid red charging LED on for at least
10–15 minutes before trying to turn them on.
If the Earbuds or Charging Base Got Wet
Do not charge them immediately.
Allow the earbuds and charging base to air-dry for at least 24 hours.
Once they are completely dry, reconnect the charger and repeat the charging steps above.
Charging Restored?
LED off after charging = Fully charged
