If TV headphones are not producing sound, it is usually due to one of two common issues:
1) The headphones and the base are not connected wirelessly, OR
2) The base does not receive the audio signal from the TV.
We need to troubleshoot these two areas one by one.
Step 1: Check Wireless Connection Between Headphones and Base - Verify 1st LED / Headphone Status
- Solid Blue LED: Five seconds after removing the earbuds from the charging base, the first LED should display a solid Blue light. If you wear the earbuds, you should hear "Welcome to Avantree, Connected". This indicates that the headphones and the base are well connected. No further action is needed here.
- Flashing LED: This indicates that the headphones and base are not connected wirelessly. You need to re-pair and connect them. For detailed re-pairing instructions, please refer to Reset and Reconnect.
Step 2: Check TV Audio Settings - Verify AUX / OPT LED Signal
- Solid Light on AUX or OPT: This indicates that the signal is well received from the TV. No further action is needed here.
- Flashing Light on AUX or OPT: This indicates a signal issue.
To Fix Signal Issues:
1. Cables:
-
- Ensure your audio cable is plugged into the correct audio output port on the TV and into the "Input From TV" section on the base properly.
2. TV Audio Settings:
-
- Correct Output Setting: Ensure your TV audio setting is set to the correct output where your cable is plugged in. Refer to the user manual for details.
- Optical Audio Format Setup: Ensure your TV audio output is set to PCM/STEREO instead of Dolby or AUTO. Follow the step-by-step setup guide specific to your TV model to adjust the settings.
- Streaming Apps (e.g., Netflix, Amazon Prime, Roku): You might need to set the audio output to PCM/STEREO within the app settings as well.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve any no sound or not working issues with your Medley Pebble headphones.
