SP851 – How to Improve Radio Reception and Reduce Static

Radio reception (DAB and FM) depends on signal coverage and surroundings. For best performance, try the following:

1. Fully extend the antenna – This is essential for both DAB and FM reception.

2. Use near windows or outdoors – Walls and buildings can weaken radio signals.

3. Avoid metal surfaces – Metal can interfere with signal reception.

4. Reduce interference – Keep the radio away from TVs, Wi-Fi routers, phones, and other electronic devices.

Note:
Reception may be weaker in rural areas or enclosed indoor spaces. This is normal for portable radios and affects both DAB and FM signals.
