Charging Troubleshooting

Headphones Not Charging?

Check the power source, charging contacts, and headphone position before replacing any accessories.

Use a 5V / 1A wall charger.

Avoid powering the charging dock from a TV, computer, or power bank. These sources may not provide enough current for reliable charging.

Check These First

Most charging problems can be fixed with these four checks.

Use a Wall Charger

Connect the charging dock to a 5V / 1A wall charger.

Clean the Contacts

Wipe the charging contacts and pins with a clean, dry cloth.

Reseat the Headphones

Place the headphones back on the dock and make sure the charging contacts touch correctly.

Check the Charging Light

Look for the red charging indicator after placing the headphones on the dock.

No Red Charging Light?

Follow these steps in order.

Clean the Charging Contacts

Remove the headphones from the dock and wipe the charging contacts on both the headphones and dock with a dry cloth.

Place the Headphones Back on the Dock

Adjust the position until the dock contacts are touching the charging contacts on the earcup.

Try Another Charger and Cable

Use a different 5V / 1A wall charger and charging cable to rule out a faulty power source or cable.

Still Not Charging on the Dock?

Connect a USB-C charging cable directly to the headphones. If they charge normally by USB-C, the issue is likely related to the charging dock, its contacts, or alignment.

More Charging Checks

Headphones Charge Only When Repositioned

This usually means the charging contacts are not touching consistently.

Remove the headphones from the dock.
Clean both sets of contacts with a dry cloth.
Place the headphones back on the dock carefully.
Adjust the position until the red charging light appears.

USB-C Charging Works but the Dock Does Not

The headphones themselves can accept power, so focus on the charging dock, charging contacts, alignment, cable, and wall charger.

Neither the Dock nor USB-C Charging Works

Try a different wall charger and cable first. If the headphones still do not charge through either method, contact Avantree support.
