HT4186-Q – How to Re-Pair, Connect, and Lock the Headphones

Use these steps if your HT4186-Q headphones no longer connect to the transmitter, or if you received replacement headphones.

Important: Pair first, then lock. Pairing connects the headphones to the transmitter. Locking helps them reconnect automatically the next time you use them.

Before You Start

Turn OFF your TV and Bluetooth on nearby phones, tablets, and computers. If the transmitter is powered by the TV's USB port, move it to a USB wall adapter or another USB power source. Keep the headphones close to the transmitter.

This helps prevent interference or the headphones connecting to another nearby device during pairing.

Step 1 – Put the Transmitter in Pairing Mode

Turn ON the Audikast-3 transmitter.

Press and hold the 1 button for about 5 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator flashes RED & BLUE.

Flashing RED & BLUE = Ready to pair

Step 2 – Put the Headphones in Pairing Mode

1. Turn the NB16-Q headphones OFF.

2. Press and hold the Multi-Function Button (MFB).

Keep holding the MFB. Do not release it when the headphones first turn on.

3. From OFF, keep holding the MFB for about 5 seconds. Release it when you hear “Pairing” and see:

Flashing RED & BLUE = Ready to pair

Step 3 – Wait for Them to Connect

Keep the headphones close to the transmitter and wait a few seconds.

Solid BLUE = Connected

Step 4 – Lock the Connection

Do not skip this step.

Press and hold 1 and 2 together for about 10 seconds.

Keep holding both buttons until the indicator turns PINK for a couple of seconds, then release them.

PINK = Connection locked

Step 5 – Test Automatic Reconnection

Turn the headphones OFF.
Turn the transmitter OFF.
Wait about 5 seconds.
Turn the transmitter ON.
Turn the headphones ON.
Wait 5–10 seconds.

Solid BLUE = Reconnected successfully

If they reconnect automatically, setup is complete. Turn your TV back ON and return the transmitter to its normal power source.

Something Doesn't Look Right?

They Connect but Don't Reconnect Next Time

The connection may not have been locked. Connect them again, then repeat Step 4 – Lock the Connection and wait for the PINK indicator.

Reset both the Audikast-3 transmitter and NB16-Q headphones, then repeat this Pair & Lock guide from the beginning.
