This failure to reconnect may occur because you paired the HT4189P headphones with another device or you're using a new replacement pair of headphones. No matter the cause, you can follow these steps to reconnect and lock the headphones to the transmitter.
Note: If your transmitter is connected to your TV's USB port, temporarily switch it to another power source (like a wall outlet or laptop) and turn off your TV. This is to prevent interference during the pairing process.
Step 1: Put the transmitter in pairing mode
- Connect the transmitter to a power source (other than your TV) and turn it on by sliding the power switch to the "ON" position.
- Press & hold the button until you see the LED flashing red & blue alternately.
Step 2: Put the headphones in pairing mode
- Turn off the headphones and then turn them back on.
- Slide and hold the power switch in the “PAIR” position until the LED indicator starts flashing red & blue alternately.
Step 3: Wait for them to connect
- They'll automatically connect after a few seconds. The headphones' LED indicator & the transmitter's LED will both turn solid blue.
Step 4: Lock the headphones to the transmitter
- Locking the headphones to the transmitter allows for automatic reconnections. Press and hold the button on the transmitter for about 10 seconds or until the indicator turns pink.
Your headphones & transmitter should now be locked together and will always connect once turned on.
