How to Use the HT4189P Headphones Independently with Another Device – Avantree Support

All Avantree TV headphone and transmitter sets are factory-locked to prioritize connecting with each other as soon as they are powered on. This means they automatically reconnect to each other rather than any other previously paired devices.

However, you can use the headphones independently with other Bluetooth devices. To do so, follow these steps:

First-Time Setup:

Step 1: Turn off nearby devices

Turn OFF your TV and any nearby Wi-Fi devices to minimize interference.
Power OFF the HT4189P transmitter.

Step 2: Put the headphones in pairing mode

Start with the headphones OFF.
Power them on by sliding the power switch to the "ON" position, then hold it in the “PAIR” position until the LED flashes red & blue alternately.

Step 3: Connect to your device

On your device, turn on Bluetooth and select "Avantree AS9-P" from the list to connect.
Once connected, the headphones' LED will turn solid blue, and you’ll hear a “Connected” voice prompt.

Reconnecting:

For future connections, first make sure the HT4189P transmitter is turned off before reconnecting to another device. Then, select "Avantree AS9-P" in your device's Bluetooth settings to reconnect the headphones. Alternatively, you can click the headphones' multifunctional button to activate reconnection.
