Pair Bluetooth Headphones with Your Avantree Transmitter
For a successful connection, both your headphones and your Avantree transmitter must be in pairing mode at the same time.
Pairing Takes 3 Simple Steps
Both devices need to be searching for each other before they can connect.
Put your headphones or earbuds into Bluetooth pairing mode.
Put your Avantree transmitter into pairing mode.
Keep the two devices close together until they connect.
Before You Start
Your headphones may automatically reconnect to a phone, tablet, computer, or TV before the Avantree transmitter gets a chance to pair with them.
- Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby devices your headphones normally connect to.
- Keep the headphones and Avantree transmitter close together while pairing.
- Make sure the headphones have enough battery and the transmitter is powered on.
Put Your Headphones in Pairing Mode
Your headphones need to be in pairing mode — simply turning them on may not be enough.
How do I know the headphones are ready?
- The Bluetooth LED is flashing repeatedly.
- You may hear a voice prompt such as "Pairing" or "Ready to connect."

The exact button or pairing action depends on your Avantree transmitter model.
Check the Bluetooth Indicator
When the transmitter is actively searching for your headphones, its Bluetooth indicator should normally be flashing.
If the indicator is steady, the transmitter may already be connected to another Bluetooth device.
Not sure how to put your transmitter in pairing mode?
Pairing controls vary by model. First, find the model name printed on:
- the transmitter
- the product label
- the original box
- the user manual
Then search Avantree Support using:
[Transmitter Model] + pairing mode

Search Avantree Support →Wait for the Devices to Connect
Once both devices are in pairing mode, keep them close together and wait about 5–10 seconds.
Bluetooth light is flashing
The device is still searching for a Bluetooth connection.
Bluetooth light usually becomes steady
You may also hear a voice prompt such as "Connected."
Test the Connection
Play audio from your TV or other audio source. If you hear it through your headphones, pairing is complete.
Not Connecting?
Check these common issues before resetting either device.
! Headphones reconnect to your phone
Turn Bluetooth off on the phone, tablet, computer, or TV they normally connect to. Then put the headphones back into pairing mode.
! Headphone light isn't flashing
The headphones may only be powered on. Put them into Bluetooth pairing mode again.
! Transmitter light isn't flashing
Put the Avantree transmitter back into pairing mode using the instructions for your exact transmitter model.
! Both devices are flashing but won't connect
Move them closer together and turn Bluetooth off on nearby devices that may be trying to connect.
Still not connecting? Reset the Bluetooth pairing history
If both devices are definitely in pairing mode but still cannot connect, clear the Bluetooth pairing history on both devices and try again.
- Clear or reset the pairing history on your headphones.
- Clear or reset the pairing history on your Avantree transmitter.
- Turn Bluetooth off on nearby phones, tablets, computers, and TVs.
- Put the headphones back into pairing mode.
- Put the Avantree transmitter back into pairing mode.
- Keep them close together and wait for them to connect.
Reset instructions vary by model, so use the reset instructions for your exact headphones and transmitter.
