Medley Air – How to Charge the Headphones & Fix Charging Issues
You can charge your Medley Air headphones using the charging dock or by connecting a USB-C cable directly to the headphones.
Charging time: About 2 hours for a full charge.
Good to Know: The headphones and transmitter do not need to be turned ON while charging.
Option 1 – Charge on the Dock
Step 1 – Power the Charging Dock
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the charging dock.
- Connect the other end to the provided wall adapter.
- Plug the wall adapter into a wall outlet.
Important: The charging dock does not have its own battery. It must be connected to power to charge the headphones.
Step 2 – Place the Headphones on the Dock
Place the headphones carefully on the charging dock. Make sure they are sitting correctly and making good contact with the charging area.
Step 3 – Check the Charging Light
Option 2 – Charge Directly With USB-C
- Connect the provided USB-C cable directly to the headphones.
- Connect the other end to the provided wall adapter.
- Plug the wall adapter into a wall outlet.
Headphones Not Charging?
1 – Check the Power Connection
Make sure the USB-C cable is pushed all the way in.
Check both ends:
USB-C cable → Charging dock
Wall adapter → Wall outlet
Unplug the cable, wait a few seconds, then reconnect it firmly.
2 – Use the Provided Wall Adapter
For the most reliable charging, use the wall adapter provided with your Medley Air.
If you are troubleshooting a charging problem, avoid using an unknown charger or adapter.
3 – Try Another Wall Outlet
- Unplug the Medley Air charger.
- Try another wall outlet.
- Reconnect the charger.
- Check for the Solid Red charging light.
4 – Reposition the Headphones on the Dock
- Lift the headphones off the dock.
- Place them back on carefully.
- Make sure they are sitting correctly.
- Check for the Solid Red charging light.
If the Red light appears after repositioning, leave the headphones in that position to charge.
5 – Check and Clean the Charging Contacts
Dust, skin oil, or dirt can prevent a good charging connection.
- Disconnect the dock from power.
- Gently wipe dry the charging contacts on the headphones with a clean, soft cloth.
- Gently wipe dry the charging contacts on the dock.
- Reconnect the dock to power.
- Place the headphones back on the dock.
- Check for the Solid Red charging light.
Important: Do not use sharp or metal objects to clean the charging contacts.
Headphones Not Used for a Long Time?
If the battery has been completely empty for a long time, connect the headphones to power and leave them charging for a while before trying to turn them on.
Avoid repeatedly turning the headphones ON and OFF while they are trying to charge.
