Medley Air – How to Add a Second Pair of Headphones
You can connect a second pair of Bluetooth headphones to your Medley Air.
Step 1 – Put the Second Headphones in Pairing Mode
Put the second headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode.
For Avantree headphones, you may see: Flashing RED & BLUE = Pairing Mode. For other brands, check the headphone manual for its pairing instructions.
Step 2 – Put the Transmitter in Pairing Mode
Find the “2” button on the back of the Medley Air transmitter. Press and hold it for 5 seconds.
Keep the second headphones close to the transmitter.
Step 3 – Wait for Connection
Do not press any other buttons. Wait for the second headphones to connect.
Test the sound through both pairs of headphones.
Step 4 – Lock the Second Headphones
Once the second headphones are connected and working, press and hold the “2” button for 8 seconds.
The indicator then returns to the connected state. The second headphones are now connected and locked.
Using Both Headphones Next Time
- Turn ON the Medley Air transmitter.
- Turn ON the original headphones and wait for “1” Solid BLUE.
- Turn ON the second headphones and wait for “2” Solid BLUE.
Something Doesn’t Look Right?
Second Headphones Won’t Connect
Make sure the second headphones are in actual pairing mode, not simply turned ON. Keep them close to the transmitter and confirm that “2” is flashing RED & BLUE.
Second Headphones Keep Connecting to a Phone
Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, or computers that previously used the second headphones. Put the headphones back into pairing mode and try again.
“2” Is Solid BLUE but There Is No Sound
Solid BLUE means the second headphones are connected. Turn up their volume, make sure they are not muted, then test again. Do not pair them again while “2” is Solid BLUE.
Second Headphones Do Not Reconnect Next Time
Turn ON the original headphones first and wait for “1” Solid BLUE. Then turn ON the second headphones. If “2” does not become Solid BLUE, press the “2” button once and wait for reconnection. If needed, pair the headphones again and complete Step 4 to lock them.
