AUDIO SETTINGS

HT381 – Adjust Volume, Sound Mode & Left/Right Balance

Adjust the volume, sound mode, Mono / Stereo setting, and left / right balance for comfortable listening.

Use the Volume Wheel on the HT381 receiver.

Louder: Turn the wheel to the right.

Quieter: Turn the wheel to the left.

Using Optical? Your TV remote may not change the receiver volume. Use the Volume Wheel on the receiver instead.

Press the MODE button on top of the transmitter dock. Each press changes the sound mode.

BASS solid ORANGE = More bass

TREBLE solid ORANGE = Clearer higher-frequency sounds

BALANCED solid ORANGE = Balanced sound

No sound-mode LED = Default / Flat sound

Try each mode and use the one that sounds clearest and most comfortable to you.

Use the MONO / STEREO switch on the back of the transmitter dock.

MONO

The same audio is sent to both sides.

Example: Dialogue and music are heard in both ears.

STEREO

The left and right sides can play different parts of the audio.

Example: A sound may come from the left or right side, like it does in a movie.

Not sure which to use? Start with STEREO.

Use the L / R Balance control on the back of the receiver.

Turn toward L = More sound on the LEFT

Turn toward R = More sound on the RIGHT

For about the same volume on both sides, keep the control near the center.

TV Remote Does Not Change the Receiver Volume

If the HT381 is connected using Optical, this can be normal. Use the Volume Wheel on the receiver to adjust the listening volume.

One Side Is Louder Than the Other

Check the L / R Balance control. Move it toward the center if you want equal volume on both sides.

Some Sounds Are Only Heard on One Side

Check the MONO / STEREO switch. Try MONO if you want the same audio information sent to both sides.
