Connect a Second Pair of Headphones

Start with your original Opera headphones connected to the transmitter, then pair the second headphones.

Before You Start: Turn the TV OFF

Smart TV streaming services can interfere with pairing. Keep the headphones close to the transmitter while completing the steps below.

Pair the Second Headphones

Follow these steps in order.

Connect the Original Opera Headphones First

Turn on the Opera transmitter and original headphones. Wait until the LED indicators on both devices are solid blue.

Solid Blue = Connected

Turn Off the Original Headphones

Once the original Opera headphones are connected, turn only the original headphones OFF. Leave the transmitter ON.

Put the Second Headphones Into Pairing Mode

Put your second headphones into their normal Bluetooth pairing mode.

For Avantree headphones: slide the power switch to PAIR or press and hold the Multi-function button until the LED alternates red and blue.

Put the Opera Transmitter Into Pairing Mode

Slide and hold the transmitter's OFF / ON / PAIR switch at PAIR for about 2 seconds.

Watch the transmitter LED: it should alternate red and blue.

Keep Them Close and Wait

Keep the second headphones close to the Opera transmitter and wait for them to connect.

Connected: the LED indicators will become solid blue.

Solid Blue = Connected

For Future Use

After pairing is complete, use this power-on order each time.

Turn On the Transmitter Start with the Opera transmitter first.

Turn On the Original Opera Headphones Allow the original headphones to reconnect.

Turn On the Second Headphones Wait a few seconds for the second pair to reconnect.

Second Headphones Didn't Reconnect?

Press the Play/Pause button on the headphones once. On Opera headphones, this button is located between the volume buttons. Wait about 5–10 seconds.

You can also briefly slide the transmitter's power switch down and release it, then wait another 5–10 seconds.

Second Headphones Still Not Connecting?

Confirm that the original Opera headphones were connected first, then turned off while the transmitter remained on.
Make sure the second headphones are actually in Bluetooth pairing mode, not simply powered on.
Confirm that both the second headphones and Opera transmitter are alternating red and blue at the same time.
Keep the second headphones close to the transmitter while they are pairing.
