Volume Still Too Low? Try These Steps First
If your Medley Pebble 2 is working but the sound is too quiet, try these checks before updating the firmware.
Step 1 – Turn Up the Earbud Volume
- Start playing TV audio.
- Tap Volume + gradually to raise the volume. Do not press and hold the button.
Still too quiet? Continue to Step 2.
Step 2 – Check the TV or Source Volume
Your TV or connected device may also control the volume.
|
Using AUX?
Turn up the TV volume. If you use a cable box or streaming device, turn up its volume too. |
Using Optical (OPT)?
The TV volume may be fixed. This is normal. Continue to Step 3. |
Step 3 – Try Another TV Program
Some programs may simply have quieter audio.
Try another:
- TV channel
- Streaming app
- Movie or video
Other programs are louder? Your Medley Pebble 2 is likely working normally.
Everything is still too quiet? Continue to Step 4.
Step 4 – Recheck the TV Sound Settings
If you are using Optical (OPT), recheck these settings:
- Open the TV's Sound / Audio Settings.
- Set Sound Output to Optical.
- Set Digital Audio Format to PCM.
- Play the TV again.
PCM is a TV audio format that the Medley Pebble 2 can receive correctly.
Step 5 – Using Optical? Turn On Volume Boost
Use Volume Boost only as the last volume adjustment.
Turn on Volume Boost only if the sound is still too low after all other available volume controls have been increased to the maximum level.
- Look at the back of the transmitter and find the Volume Boost button.
- Press Volume Boost once.
- Play the TV and listen again.
Important: Volume Boost works with the Optical (OPT) input. It may cause audio distortion or reduce sound clarity.
