Windows Firmware Update

Update Your Aria Aura Firmware

Follow the steps below to update the headphones using the Windows DFU tool. Reference screenshots are included under the steps where you need them.

Before You Start

Windows Computer This firmware update procedure works with Windows.

Aria Aura Headphones Have the headphones ready before starting.

USB Data Cable Use a cable that supports both charging and data transfer.

Firmware + DFU Tool Download both files before beginning the update.

Important: A charging-only USB cable cannot complete the DFU process. A USB data cable is required.

Step-by-Step Firmware Update

Complete the steps in order. Open any “View Screenshot” section when you need a visual reference.

Download the Firmware File

Download AS90R_DFU_V1.12.1 and save the upgrade file to your computer desktop.

Download Firmware

Download and Install the DFU Tool

Download the BlueSuite.WIN.3.3 Installer. Unzip the downloaded file, then double-click the installer application.

Reference: Double-click the BlueSuite installer. If Windows asks whether you want to allow the application to make changes, click Yes.

Open HidDfuApp

After BlueSuite is installed, find HidDfuApp under your Windows programs and open it.

Reference: Search Windows for HidDfuApp, then open the application.

Connect the Headphones

Connect the Aria Aura headphones to the Windows PC using a USB data charging cable.

Choose the Firmware File

In HidDfuApp, click Choose and select:

Firmware File AS90R_BT First_DFU_V1.12.1_PID_4033.bin

Enter the DFU Settings

Set the following values in HidDfuApp:

PID 0x 4033

Usage 0x 1

Reference: Select the firmware file with Choose, set PID 0x to 4033, set Usage 0x to 1, then use Run to begin.

Click Run

After confirming the firmware file and settings, click Run.

HidDfuApp will connect to the headphones and begin the Upgrade Binary operation.

Reference: The progress bar moves while the firmware is being installed. The status area shows that the device was found and the Upgrade Binary operation has started.

Wait for the Update to Finish

Keep the headphones connected while the progress bar is moving.

The DFU process is complete when the progress bar reaches the end and the application reports that the Upgrade Binary operation completed successfully.

Reference: A full progress bar and the message Successfully completed 'Upgrade Binary' operation confirm that the DFU update is complete.

Do Not Disconnect During the Update

Keep the USB data cable connected until the DFU process has completely finished.

Update Complete

Once HidDfuApp reports that the Upgrade Binary operation completed successfully, the DFU process is complete.

Choose the firmware file, enter PID 4033 and Usage 1, then click Run.
