To use Private Mode, first update both the transmitter and earbuds, connect them, then set a passcode via the Firmware Updater.
Step 1: Update the transmitter
- Download the
Avantree Firmware Updater, and install it on your computer.
- Open the Updater.
- Connect the transmitter to your computer using a USB cable
- Turn on the transmitter
- Click “Check for Updates”
- Install the latest firmware (v0.2.9 or later)
Step 2: Update the earbuds
- Download the
Avantree-Avantalk App from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Turn on the earbuds and connect them to your phone via Bluetooth
- Open the app and tap “Add Device”
- Select Avantree Loop, then tap “Connect”
- Once connected, update to the latest version (v0.8.0 or later)
Note
• If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to update
• If not, go to Settings (gear icon) → tap “Update Now”
Step 3: Connect earbuds to the transmitter
- Turn on both the transmitter and earbuds
- Wait for them to connect automatically
- Confirm you can hear TV audio through the earbuds
Step 4: Set a passcode (Private Mode)
- Open the Firmware Updater
- Go to the “Advanced” tab
- Set Encryption → Encrypted (User-defined)
- Enter your desired passcode
- Enable “Synchronize to supported Avantree Rx”
- Click to "Apply settings”
If earbuds fail to reconnect after setting a passcode
- Set Encryption → Public, then click Apply
- Wait for the earbuds to reconnect
- Repeat Step 4
Notes
• Only devices with the passcode can join the broadcast
• Make sure earbuds are connected before clicking Apply, or they may fail to reconnect
