AS50 Reconnection Troubleshooting

Headphones Not Reconnecting?

First choose what you want your AS50 headphones to reconnect to: the Ensemble transmitter or another Bluetooth device.

What Are You Reconnecting To?

Choose the option that matches how you are using the headphones.

Using the Ensemble Set Ensemble Transmitter Choose this if you normally listen to your TV through the Ensemble transmitter / charging base. Using AS50 by Itself TV, Phone, Tablet or Computer Choose this if the headphones are connected directly to a Bluetooth device without the Ensemble transmitter.

Reconnect to the Ensemble Transmitter

Use this section if the AS50 headphones are part of your Ensemble TV set.

Check nearby Bluetooth devices first

Turn Bluetooth off on nearby phones, tablets, computers, TVs, and other Bluetooth devices. This prevents the headphones from reconnecting to one of those devices instead of the Ensemble transmitter.

What Does a Solid Blue Headphone Light Mean?

Solid blue means the headphones are connected. If the Ensemble transmitter is not also showing solid blue, the headphones may be connected to a different Bluetooth device.

Turn On the Ensemble Transmitter

Make sure the transmitter is powered on.

Turn On the AS50 Headphones

Keep the headphones close to the transmitter and give them a moment to reconnect.

Check Both Lights

When the connection is successful, the headphones and transmitter should both show solid blue.

Both lights are solid blue? The headphones are connected to the Ensemble transmitter.

Still Not Reconnecting?

Pair the headphones and transmitter again, then lock the connection. Locking helps the Ensemble reconnect more reliably during normal use.

Reconnect Without the Ensemble Transmitter

Use this section when the AS50 headphones are connected directly to a Bluetooth TV, phone, tablet, or computer.

Press the Play/Pause Button Once

Turn the headphones on, then press the Play/Pause (▶⏸) button once to reconnect to the last paired Bluetooth device.

Connection Still Drops or Takes Too Long?

Wi-Fi routers, access points, and microwaves can interfere with Bluetooth because they also use the 2.4 GHz frequency range. Keep the headphones and Ensemble transmitter at least 2 meters (about 6 feet) away from these devices when possible.

Still Can't Reconnect After Pairing Again?

If the AS50 headphones still will not reconnect to the Ensemble transmitter, reset both the headphones and transmitter, then pair and lock them again.
