If music sounds distorted, unstable, or changes pitch while speech sounds normal, the transmitter's AUX input may be receiving too strong of an audio signal.
The AUX input on the Harmony 2 / Quartet 2 (Avantree Flex) transmitter is designed for consumer-level line output. Professional mixers, soundboards, and DJ equipment can output a much stronger signal.
Reduce the master output level or AUX send to about 25–30%, then test the music again.
If your mixer has multiple outputs, connect the transmitter to:
- Record Out, or
- Monitor Out
These outputs are usually lower level than the mixer's main output.
- Use a passive inline attenuator (-10 dB or -20 dB) between the mixer and the transmitter's AUX input.
- Check the mixer's EQ and gain boost settings. Strong bass or treble boosts on music channels may contribute to the problem.
