If you want to use Auracast-compatible hearing aids with the Aura Loop (Dual) transmitter, you’ll need to switch the transmitter to Hearing Aid Mode using a DFU (Device Firmware Update).
Step-by-Step: Switch to Hearing Aid Mode (For Hearing Aids)
1️⃣Connect the transmitter to your computer
Use the long USB-C cable included in the package (gray connector) to connect the Aura Loop transmitter to your Windows PC or Mac.
2️⃣Download Avantree Firmware Updater
Download the updater here:

3️⃣Run the updater
After downloading, open the Avantree Firmware Updater.
The updater will automatically detect the connected Aura Loop transmitter.
4️⃣Install Hearing Aid Mode
Select and install the following firmware version:
V0.2.6 – For Hearing Aids
Once the installation is complete, your hearing aids can join the Aura Loop broadcast.
Notes
Starkey hearing aids are currently not supported.
Support may be added in a future firmware update.In Hearing Aid Mode, both hearing aids and Aura Loop earbuds can join the broadcast.
Audio quality may be lower than in Headphone Mode.To switch back to Headphone Mode, follow the same steps above and select:
V0.2.7 – For Headphones
Which Mode Should I Use?
Use Headphone Mode if:
You primarily use Aura Loop earbuds
You want the best possible audio quality
Switch to Hearing Aid Mode only if:
You plan to use Auracast-compatible hearing aids
