Opera Plus uses a 2.4 GHz transmitter and supports up to two headphone receivers.
Opera Aura, on the other hand, uses the latest Auracast technology with the LC3 codec, allowing it to support unlimited receivers. (Additional headphones are available on our website and can be easily added to your setup.)
2. Dual-Mode Operation: Auracast + Bluetooth
Opera Aura headphones support Auracast and Bluetooth simultaneously. After setting up the transmitter and playing audio through the Opera Aura headphones, you can also pair the headphones with a Bluetooth device such as your phone, tablet, or computer.
- A single press of the ⏯ button switches between Auracast and Bluetooth modes.
- If you receive a phone call while watching TV, call notifications will be heard through the headphones. Press the ⏯ button to answer the call directly.
3. Sample Rate Options & Hearing Aid Support
The Opera Aura transmitter supports 48 kHz and 24 kHz sample rate modes.
Press and hold the Hold-🎧/🦻 button to switch between them.
- The 24 kHz mode is designed for users with hearing loss. You can pair your Auracast-enabled hearing aids* directly with the Opera Aura transmitter for improved clarity.
4. LC3 Codec Advantages
The LC3 codec is known for its low power consumption, which means the Opera Aura headphones provide longer playback time on a single charge.
