Troubleshooting: No Sound from Headphones After Setup – Avantree Support

Most TVs can only output audio through one mode at a time (Optical, HDMI ARC, or AUX). To avoid audio conflicts, disconnect other connected audio devices if needed.

If you've completed setup but there's still no sound in your headphones, please check the following:

1. Verify all cable connections – Make sure the cables are fully inserted. If needed, try reversing the cable ends or testing with a different cable.

2. Match the Transmitter Input
Set the transmitter’s input selector to match the audio input mode you’re using (AUX, Optical, or HDMI ARC).
Applies to: Opera Plus, Opera, Duet, Crescendo 3D, Crescendo Me, and Harmony 2.

💡If your receiver supports both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth/Auracast modes, make sure it is set to the correct mode:
Opera Plus, Crescendo 3D, Crescendo Me – Switch the headphones to TV mode.
Harmony 2– Switch the speakers to Broadcasting mode.

3. Check your TV audio settings – Ensure the TV’s audio output is set to the correct source (Optical, HDMI, or AUX).

4. Set audio format to PCM – If using Optical or HDMI ARC, your TV's “Digital Audio Output Format” must be set to PCM (Pulse-Code Modulation).

5. Check headphone volume – Make sure the headphones are not muted, and increase the volume if needed.

⚠️Note:
•Disable Bluetooth on nearby devices – If you're using a Bluetooth-based transmitter (e.g., Ensemble, Opera, HT5009 series, HT41899 series), turn off Bluetooth on your TV, phone, or other nearby devices to prevent interference.

•Avoid wireless interference – Devices like Wi-Fi routers, access points and microwaves (which use the 2.4GHz band) can interfere with the signal. Keep them at least 2 meters away from your transmitter and headphones.

•Understanding the Bypass Function – The Bypass mode allows your transmitter to relay the TV’s audio signal in its original format to an external sound system (e.g., soundbar or AV receiver).

💡Bypass only works with the same type of input / output, i.e. if you connect to your TV via OPT, you’ll need to connect to your speaker via OPT as well.
Be sure to set your sound system to the corresponding input and adjust its volume accordingly.
