LE Audio support does not always mean the devices are compatible
Two types of LE Audio connections
LE Audio includes different connection types. Your headphones may support Auracast, one-to-one LE Audio, or both.
Auracast
One transmitter → many listeners
Auracast allows one device to broadcast audio to multiple compatible headphones or hearing aids at the same time.
Avantree Auracast transmitters work with most Auracast-enabled headphones and hearing aids.
One-to-One LE Audio
One transmitter → one headphone
This works more like traditional Bluetooth pairing and can provide low latency for gaming, video, and calls.
Avantree transmitters currently support only Avantree LE Audio headphones in one-to-one mode.
What should I check?
Supports Auracast
It should work with most Avantree Auracast transmitters using Auracast broadcast mode.
LE Audio / LC3 only
This does not automatically mean it supports Auracast. Check whether the headphone supports Auracast or only one-to-one LE Audio.
One-to-One LE Audio
Compatibility between different brands is still inconsistent. Avantree transmitters currently support Avantree LE Audio headphones in this mode.
JBL Auracast speakers
JBL Auracast speakers are currently not supported with Avantree Auracast transmitters.
Compatibility is continuing to improve
Avantree transmitters and dongles are firmware-upgradeable, and we're continuing to work on expanding LE Audio compatibility.
