HAX06 is not a universal HDMI audio extractor. It only works if your TV meets all of the following set-up guide :
What is HAX06 for?
1. HAX06 extracts audio from your TV's HDMI ARC.
2. You can use it to:
● Connect to Optical / RCA device (e.g. a transmitter* for wireless headphones)
● Connect to a HDMI ARC soundbar
● Or use both together
✔ Use HDMI ARC or eARC port - (eARC must be turned OFF)
✔ Audio format set to PCM
🚫 Not compatible with:
● Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku sticks, etc.
● HDMI ports on laptops, monitors, projectors
What’s the difference between the HAX05 and HAX06?
HAX06 does not support HDMI eARC (HDMI 2.1). To ensure proper functionality, you'll need to disable HDMI eARC on your TV and set the digital audio output format to PCM.
Compared to the HAX05, the HAX06 is HDMI certified and resolves the issue where, after powering the adapter off and back on, users sometimes had to toggle the HDMI ARC Bypass button off and on again to reactivate audio.
What if the HAX06 doesn't work after setup?
• Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the TV’s HDMI ARC* port and the HAX06.
• Confirm ARC and HDMI-CEC are enabled in your TV settings.
• Use a high-quality HDMI cable (HDMI 2.0 or above).
(*Use the TV port labeled HDMI ARC or eARC — not a regular HDMI port.)
How to adjust the Volume
•Enable HDMI-CEC on your TV to use the TV remote for controlling the volume of the device connected to the HDMI ARC OUT port on the HAX06.
⚠️Please note: This does not apply to the OPT OUT or RCA OUT ports.
