ShareCast – Reconnect the Speaker to the Dongle

The HomeBuddy speaker and dongle are pre-paired and normally reconnect automatically.

Important: Keep the speaker and dongle close together when turning them on.

Step 1 – Play Audio

Plug the ShareCast dongle into your audio source, such as a phone or computer.
Start playing audio from the source device.

Step 2 – Check the Speaker Mode

Make sure the HomeBuddy speaker is in Broadcast Mode.

LED flashing ORANGE : The speaker is in Broadcast Mode and ready to reconnect to the dongle.

If the LED is not flashing ORANGE, press the ▶ and + button combination together to switch mode.

Step 3 – Keep Both Devices Close at First

Keep the speaker and dongle within 1 meter / 3 feet when powering them on.
Wait for them to reconnect.

LED solid ORANGE : The speaker is connected to the dongle. You can then move the speaker up to 20 meters / 65 feet away.

Something Doesn’t Look Right?

The Speaker Does Not Reconnect

Make sure audio is playing from the source device.
Confirm that the speaker LED is flashing ORANGE.
Turn both devices off, place them within 1 meter / 3 feet, then turn them back on.

The Speaker Is Connected but There Is No Sound

Make sure the audio source is playing and the dongle is connected fully. Then increase the volume on both the source device and the HomeBuddy speaker.
