SG188 – Connect to a Phone or Tablet

Follow these simple steps to connect your SG188 Bluetooth sunglasses to your phone or tablet.

Step 1 – Put Your SG188 into Pairing Mode

  1. Close both arms of your sunglasses.
  2. Open both arms to turn the SG188 ON.
  3. Wait for the LED to flash red and blue.

LED Not Flashing Red and Blue?

Your SG188 may be reconnecting to another device.

  1. Turn OFF Bluetooth on previously connected devices nearby.
  2. Close both arms of the sunglasses.
  3. Open both arms again and wait for the red and blue lights to flash.

Step 2 – Connect to Your Phone or Tablet

  1. Open Settings → Bluetooth on your phone or tablet.
  2. Turn Bluetooth ON and select Avantree SG188 from the device list.
  3. Once connected, play music or a video to test the sound.

Can't Find Avantree SG188 on Your Phone?
  1. Make sure the SG188 LED is flashing red and blue.
  2. Turn OFF Bluetooth on other nearby devices previously connected to the sunglasses.
  3. Turn your phone's Bluetooth OFF, then ON again.
  4. Keep your phone and sunglasses close together.
  5. Search for Avantree SG188 again.
