How to PAIR, CONNECT and LOCK headphones to the transmitter again in HT4189? – Avantree Support

Pairing and locking are two separate steps.

Do not stop after the headphones connect. Complete the LOCK step so the HT4189 can reconnect automatically the next time you use it.

Pair First, Then Lock

The HT4189 is factory locked before shipping, so you normally do not need to pair it each time you use it.

PAIR & CONNECT

Put both the Audikast Plus transmitter and headphones into pairing mode and wait for them to connect.

LOCK

Save the connection so the headphones and transmitter can automatically reconnect during normal use.

Before You Start

Power the transmitter from a USB wall charger or another USB power source instead of the TV's USB port.

Temporarily turn the TV OFF while pairing. Smart TVs can interfere with the pairing process.

Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, computers, and other devices previously connected to the headphones.

Keep the headphones close to the transmitter while completing the steps below.

Pair, Connect & Lock the HT4189

Open each step as you go.

1 Put the Transmitter Into Pairing Mode Use the A / 1 button on the Audikast Plus.

Connect the Audikast Plus transmitter to the separate USB power source and turn it ON.

Press and hold the A / 1 button until the Bluetooth indicator begins flashing Red & Blue.

A / 1 flashing Red & Blue The transmitter is in pairing mode.

2 Put the Headphones Into Pairing Mode The action depends on your headphone batch.

Start with the headphones OFF, then use the instructions that match your headphone version.

Before Batch T22F1 Press and hold the middle button.

Keep holding until the headphone LED begins flashing Red & Blue.

Batch T22F1 & Later Hold the power switch at PAIR.

Slide and hold the switch in the PAIR position for about 2 seconds, until the LED flashes Red & Blue. You may also hear “Pairing.”

3 Wait for Them to Connect Keep the headphones close to the transmitter.

Once both devices are in pairing mode, do not press any more buttons. Keep them close together and wait for the connection.

Solid Blue = Connected The headphone LED becomes solid blue. The transmitter's A / 1 indicator also becomes solid.

4 LOCK the Headphones to the Transmitter Do not skip this final step.

Make sure the headphones and transmitter are already connected before locking them.

On the transmitter, press and hold the A / 1 button for about 10 seconds.

Release the button when the A / 1 indicator turns Pink briefly.

Pink briefly = LOCK successful The transmitter has saved the headphones for automatic reconnection.

Pairing & Locking Complete

The HT4189 transmitter and headphones should now remember each other. During normal use, simply turn them on and allow a few seconds for them to reconnect. You should not need to repeat the pairing process each time.

Still Not Connecting?

If the transmitter and headphones still will not connect, clear the pairing history on both devices first, then repeat the Pair → Connect → Lock process above.
