A disconnected receiver, an incorrect transmitter audio input, or a receiver output connection issue can prevent sound. Follow these 3 steps to fix the problem.
Check the Transmitter and Receiver Connection
Flashing blue Audio indicators mean the transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) are not connected.
Turn on both the transmitter and receiver, then check their Audio indicators.
Transmitter and receiver connected. Continue to Step 2 .
No wireless connection. Reconnect the transmitter and receiver.
Using multiple receivers? Check the Audio indicator on each receiver. If only one receiver has no sound, troubleshoot that receiver separately.
Check the Transmitter Audio Connection and Settings
The transmitter may not be receiving audio because the cable is connected to the wrong port, the input setting is incorrect, or the TV's Optical audio format is not set to PCM.
Check the audio connection between your TV or audio source and the transmitter (TX).
Connect the TV's OPTICAL OUT to the transmitter's OPTICAL IN.
Select OPT on the transmitter.
In the TV's audio settings, change Digital Audio Output to PCM / Stereo PCM.
Find PCM Settings for Your TVConnect the TV's Headphone / Audio OUT to the transmitter's AUX IN.
Select AUX on the transmitter.
Increase the TV's headphone output volume if needed.
Connect the TV's red and white AUDIO OUT ports to the transmitter's AUX input using a compatible RCA-to-3.5mm cable.
Select AUX on the transmitter.
Do not use TV ports labeled AUDIO IN.
Using a streaming device or cable box? If Optical is selected, the connected streaming device may also need its audio output set to PCM / Stereo. View Streaming Device Audio Settings .
Check the Receiver Audio Output and Volume
The receiver may be connected but have no sound because the earphones or speakers are connected to the wrong output, the receiver is set to the wrong output mode, or the volume is too low.
Connect your wired earphones to the receiver's 3.5mm audio output.
Make sure the plug is fully inserted.
Increase the receiver's volume.
Connect the receiver's 3.5mm audio output to the speaker's AUX IN / LINE IN.
Select the matching input on the speaker and increase its volume.
If your receiver has a Mini Optical output, connect it to a compatible optical input on your audio equipment.
Select the appropriate output setting on the receiver, if applicable.
Note: Receivers from batch T22D1 onward do not include the Optical output.
Test the Audio
- Play a TV program, video, or music track with sound.
- Confirm the transmitter and receiver Audio indicators are solid blue.
- Increase the receiver's volume.
- If using wired speakers, increase their volume and check the selected input.
- Disconnect and firmly reconnect the audio cable or earphones.
- If only one receiver has no sound, try the same earphones or speaker with another working receiver.
Still no sound? Try another or a NEW compatible audio cable or pair of wired earphones. A damaged cable or earphone plug can prevent sound even when the transmitter and receiver are connected.
Multiple receivers: If all receivers have no sound, recheck the transmitter's audio source and input settings in Step 2. If only one receiver has no sound, check that receiver's output connection, volume, and earphones.
