Aura C - How much audio delay should I expect? – Avantree Support

Quick Answer

Expect some audio delay with Aura C

The amount depends mainly on whether you listen through the phone speaker or through Bluetooth headphones / hearing aids.

Phone Speaker ~60–80 ms

This is the approximate delay added by the phone-speaker audio path.

Bluetooth Headphones / Hearing Aids ~240–360 ms total

With SBC Bluetooth audio, the headphones or hearing aids may add another 180–280 ms.

Why Bluetooth can have more delay

Aura C → iPhone → Bluetooth Headphones / Hearing Aids

Will the audio perfectly match the video?

Not always. Lip-sync is not guaranteed. In live venues, you may also notice an echo if you can hear both the venue's speakers and the delayed audio from Aura C at the same time. aptX or aptX Adaptive may reduce Bluetooth delay on compatible equipment.
