This usually happens when your hearing aids are also connected to another device (like a phone) while trying to receive the Auracast audio.
This behavior depends on the hearing aids’ firmware and platform design and may vary by brand and model.
This is not a defect.
Quick Check
-
Turn off Bluetooth on your phone
Hearing aids often support one active audio stream at a time.
Turn Bluetooth off on your phone or tablet, then reconnect to the Auracast broadcast.
-
Check for other nearby devices
Turn off Bluetooth on smartwatches, tablets, laptops, or other nearby devices.
If the stuttering stops, another device may have been interfering.
-
Reconnect the hearing aids
Put the hearing aids back in their charging case, wait a few seconds, then take them out again.
This refreshes the connection.
-
Move closer to the transmitter
Stay within a few feet of the transmitter during testing.
If the audio improves when you move closer, distance or interference may be the cause.
-
Restart the devices
Turn off the transmitter and hearing aids, then turn them back on and reconnect.
Most Common Reason
The hearing aids switch between the Auracast stream and another Bluetooth device, which causes audio dropouts.
💡 Tip:
If you often switch between your phone and the transmitter, temporarily turn Bluetooth off on the phone while watching TV. This helps keep the hearing aids locked to the broadcast.
Some users have found that active wireless signals from smartphones, such as WLAN (Wi-Fi) and 5G/mobile data, can interfere with the connection.
- Try temporarily turning off Wi-Fi and 5G/mobile data on nearby smartphones
- Check if the connection improves
