Reduce Hearing Aid Feedback

If you hear a high-pitched squeal while wearing Aria 3 over your hearing aids, start by adjusting the volume balance.

Try This First

Lower the Headphone Volume

Keep Aria 3 at about 30–50% volume, then use your hearing aids to provide more of the amplification.

Lower Aria 3 Volume

Set the headphone volume to approximately 30–50%.

Increase Your Hearing Aid Volume

Let your hearing aids provide most of the amplification instead of increasing the headphone volume.

Try a Different Hearing Aid Program

If available, try Music or Headphone mode. You can also check your hearing aid app for custom listening programs.

Adjust the Headphone Position

Move the earcups slightly so they are not pressing directly against your hearing aid microphones.

Why Does This Happen?

Feedback can occur when sound from the headphones reaches the hearing aid microphone and is amplified again, creating a high-pitched noise.

Another Option

Using Auracast-Compatible Hearing Aids?

If your hearing aids support Auracast, they can connect directly to a compatible Auracast transmitter instead of being worn under headphones. This avoids acoustic feedback caused by the headphone sound reaching the hearing aid microphones.
