In Bluetooth mode, some phones or devices may output Bluetooth audio at a very low volume, causing the first part of a word to be missed, sounds to be cut off, or brief audio interruptions.
In many cases, increasing the source device's Bluetooth/media volume resolves the issue.
When using the built-in White Noise sounds or MP3 (White Noise, Brown Noise, Rain, or Ocean), playback should be continuous without interruptions.
Quick Check
1. Increase your phone volume (IMPORTANT)
- Set your phone's Bluetooth/media volume to 80–100%
- Use the Slumber 2 controller to adjust the listening volume to a comfortable level
- Re-test the audio
👉 In many cases, this alone fixes the issue.
2. Restart the connection
- Turn Bluetooth OFF
- Wait 10 seconds
- Turn Bluetooth ON again
- Reconnect the Slumber 2 device
3. Keep the phone close
- Stay within 1–2 meters during testing
Most Common Causes
- Bluetooth/media volume from the phone is set too low
- Very quiet audio at the beginning of words or sounds
- Temporary Bluetooth connection interruptions
Why This Happens
When the audio starts at a very quiet level, the beginning of a word or sound may not be detected immediately, causing effects such as hearing "elcome" instead of "welcome."
This behavior depends on the Bluetooth audio output level from the connected phone or source device.
Ongoing Improvements
Our engineering team is currently working on an updated controller design to further improve audio performance and stability.
Still Not Working?
If you continue to experience repeated audio cut-offs after trying the steps above, please contact us at:
We can help troubleshoot the issue and, if appropriate, arrange an exchange to the latest controller version once it becomes available.
