When using your Ensemble headphones and transmitter set with a TV in Optical mode, it is essential to set your TV’s Digital Output Audio Format to PCM (Pulse-Code Modulation) to avoid audio issues.
Failing to do so may result in:
1. Strange or loud noises, such as buzzing, squealing, or static sounds
2. No sound from streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc.
How to Set Your TV to PCM:
Samsung TVs:
Go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format, then select PCM.
Go to [All Settings] → [Sound] → [Sound Out] → [Optical] → [Digital Sound Out], then select PCM.
Note: Turn off Dolby Atmos
Not sure how? Contact the device manufacturer or check our [TV Sound Settings Guide].
💡If the issue persists:
1. Restart your TV by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
2. Clean the optical ports on both the TV and the transmitter using rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth or cotton swab.
*Try reversing the cable ends or using a different optical cable.
*Make sure both ends are firmly and fully inserted.
3. Switch to AUX/RCA mode or test the headphones and transmitter set with a different TV to determine whether the issue lies with the setup or the devices.
