Q: I have a hearing aid that supports LE Audio. Can I use an Avantree transmitter?
If you own one of the following LE Audio-supported hearing aids, you may be able to enjoy a seamless, low-latency connection with an Avantree Auracast™ transmitter:
- Jabra – Enhance Pro 20
- Oticon – Intent
- Philips – Hearlink 9050
- Phonak – Infinio Sphere 90
- ReSound – Nexia
- Rexton – Reach
- Signia – Pure Charge & Go IX
- Starkey – Edge AI
However, compatibility depends on firmware updates and specific hearing aid settings. We highly recommend contacting us before purchasing so we can help you find the best Avantree transmitter for your needs.
Q: How do I check if my hearing aid is fully compatible with Auracast™ and LE Audio?
Before purchasing a transmitter, we suggest checking with your hearing aid provider to confirm:
✔ Auracast™ Readiness – Can your hearing aid scan for Auracast™ broadcasts in its app?
✔ LE Audio & Codec Support – Does your hearing aid support third-party LC3 transmitters?
Q: My hearing aid supports LE Audio, but I can’t find an Auracast™ scan option in the app. What should I do?
Some hearing aids require firmware updates or a compatible phone to access Auracast™ features. If your app doesn’t show an Auracast™ scan option, you may still be able to connect using an Auracast-enabled phone, such as:
📱 Samsung – S23, S24, Tab 9, Tab 10
📱 Sony – Xperia 1 VI
Q: How to Use an Avantree LE Audio Streamer with Your Hearing Aids
Scenario 1: Hearing Aid App Supports Auracast™ Scanning
- Update your hearing aids and companion app to the latest firmware.
-
Set Up Your Avantree LE Audio Streamer
- Power on your Avantree transmitter.
- Activate Auracast™ Mode (solid White or Orange LED indicates broadcasting mode).
- Play audio from your TV, PC, or other source.
- Scan for Auracast™ sources using your hearing aid app.
- Select & Connect to the Avantree transmitter.
- Adjust settings in the app for volume and preferences.
Scenario 2: Hearing Aid App Doesn’t Support Auracast™ Scanning (Use Phone Scan)
For hearing aids without Auracast™ scanning, use an Auracast-enabled phone (e.g., Samsung S23/S24, Tab 9 /10, Sony Xperia) as an alternative:
- Connect your hearing aids to your phone.
- Scan for Auracast™ sources using the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
- Select & Connect to the Avantree transmitter.
- Relay the audio from your phone to your hearing aids using the Auracast™ feature.
