Bluetooth is a SHORT range wireless technology. The normal Bluetooth range is up to 26-33ft (8-10m) LINE OF SIGHT in the open air.
In indoor environment with wifi and other wireless devices interfere, the range could be shorter to certain degree, up to the enviroment.
If you experience a very short range, here are some troubleshooting tips:
Solution 1: Reset your devices(PC/Phone) and pair again -
Occasionally a Bluetooth pairing can connect but for some reason it's unstable. To fix this try clearing the pairing history your PC/phone and pair with Roxa Plus again.
Note: Roxa plus is always in pairing mode after plug in the 3.5mm audio cable.
Solution 2: Move away any potential Wireless Interference Devices
Other wireless devices in the vicinity of the Oasis may be affecting its range. To check whether this is the case try isolating the Roxa Plus by temporarily turning off all other nearby wireless devices such as an Apple TV, a Chromecast stick, a Roku stick, any other RF audio transmitters etc.
Move away from these devices and keep 1m / 3 feet in between.
Solution 3: Avoid Physical Obstructions
Cause - Obstacles between the transmitter and receiver that can absorb the wireless signal, such as concrete walls, human bodies, metal dividers, furniture， water, computer, etc.
Roxa Plus need to plug in to AC socket which may be placed in the corner and blocked by the furniture and speakers,etc.
Solution - Try to keep the space between the transmitter and the receiver antenna clear and ideally, within LINE of SIGHT of each other. We know this is hard in some houses. Wireless signals travels like lights and bounces on walls. You may test different placements to achieve the best.
Solution 4: Test and confirm the audio cut is not caused by internet speed limit
If you experience audio cuts when watching an online source, pls test again with local source and see whether the range issue still exist. If not, the cause of the issue could be internet speed related.
Solution 5: Outlier Device with RMA Service
If above solutions do not help, there is a chance the Oasis you have is an outlier item. We will then arrange to send you a replacement. Pls contact [email protected] asap for this then.
