Audition Pro / AS9P - Guide - Use with Priva III (TC318)

✦ If your TV is not Bluetooth-enabled,

✦ If your TV is Bluetooth-enabled smart TV, BUT you prefer no audio delay (most TV native bluetooth does not support low latency and you will still experience 200ms delay)

You are recommended to select  Avantree PrivaIII to work with your Avantree Audition Pro.

Step-by-step set up guide below >

Step 1. Check your device audio output options

Step 2: Check the Audio OUT Signal

To make sure your Audio OUT signal works, we suggest you use a cable to plug the headphones directly into the output to check for sound.

2.1 AUX Audio OUT

Plug the 3.5mm audio cable into your TV | audio source.

Plug the other end into your headphones.

Can you hear sound?

If yes, then unplug the headphone from the cable. Your Audio output is ready.

If no, then use your TV remote control to set your TV audio settings to "Headset".

Settings | Menu | Option > Audio > Speaker > Headset (menu depends on TV brand/model).

2.2 RCA Audio OUT (MUST be labelled Audio OUT!)

Plug the Red/White RCA to 3.5mm female audio cable to your TV | audio source RCA Audio OUT. Plug the 3.5mm audio cable to RCA cable and plug your headphones to the other end.

If yes, then unplug the headphone from the cable. Your Audio output is ready.

If no, then use your TV remote control to set your TV audio settings to "External Speakers". Settings | Menu | Option > Audio > Speaker > External Speakers (menu depends on TV brand/model).

2.3 Optical / Coaxial Audio OUT

If your TV does not have AUX or RCA audio OUT, and only has Optical / Coaxial audio OUT, then you will need a Digital to Analog Converter to convert the Digital (Optical / Coaxial) signal to an Analog (RCA / AUX) signal.

We suggest the Avantree DAC02. As a Priva III user, you are entitled to a 20% discount if you buy from Amazon or Simply send an email to with your HT3189 order number and we can help you.

To check the audio output, plug your headphone directly into the DAC Aux or RCA output and make sure you can hear sound.

If no sound, please set your Digital Audio Format to "PCM" using your TV remote control.

Settings | Options | Menu > Audio > Expert Settings> Audio Format (menu depends on TV brand/model)

2.4 Receiver with 6.35mm Phone Jack at Front

For most AV Receiver (e.g. Yamaha, Denon, etc.), we suggest you use the big headphone jack in the front. You need to get a 6.35mm to 3.5mm audio adapter. It only costs a few dollars from Amazon.

Then repeat the above process to check the audio by plugging in the headphones. Make sure you can hear sound.

Step 3: Plug in the Priva III

Power the Priva III with the USB cable provided. Connect it to a TV USB port or any other USB charger with 5V/500mA-2A output (Most phone chargers will work).

Now connect the Priva III to the audio output cable that you checked with your headphones.
