HT3189 - Troubleshooting - Noise while using digital analog converter

Keywords: HT3189, noise, optical, digital analog converter

If you use optical port on TV with one digital analog converter, and you hear noise from AS9S headphones, please check by following:

Plug AS9S DIRECTLY to the aux port on the digital analog converter using audio cable, check if the sound is normal, if you still hear noise, then the noise is caused by the digital analog converter.

Two workarounds here:

Solution 1: Reduce the volume of the digital analog converter, and increase the volume on AS9S.

Solution 2: Changing to Avantree DAC02, which works FINE without any noise with the optical port on TV.  As a HT3189 customer, you are entitled to a 20% discount on this item. Pls email support@avantree.com with your HT3189 order number to get the discount code for Amazon:

Nothing seems to work. Beginning to think that my best alternative is to return headphone to you for specialist repair. Very frustrating!!
