DG40S - Troubleshooting - Cannot pair, connect with my Bluetooth headphones, speakers

Follow

Keyewords: DG40s, not working, Bluetooth speaker, Bluetooth headphones, cannot find, cannot pair

1. Pairing Issues

1) If your Bluetooth device (headphone/speaker) was previously paired with a phone (or other audio device), please turn the paired device OFF before trying to pair your headphone/speaker with the DG40S.

2) Make sure your Bluetooth headphone/speaker is in pairing mode. Note that powering them on doesn't mean they're in pairing mode. Often the pairing mode status is indicated by a rapidly flashing LED on the device - see example below. Please refer to your user manual for instructions.

3) After the device has successfully connected to the DG40S, the Bluetooth interface should look like one of the two images below:

2. Issues with no sound even after devices connect

Some Windows systems will automatically detect the DG40S and set it as the default playback device, while in other systems you'll need to set this manually.

For Win 10 Plug & play

1). Go to the volume icon in the Taskbar

2). Right-click and select "Playback devices"

3). On the "Playback" tab select the connected headphone/speaker, and click "Set Default"

4). If you need to also use the microphone, go to the "Recording" tab, select the connected headphones and click "Set Default".

For Win7/8/XP using Bluesoleil

1). Go to the volume icon in the Taskbar

2). Right-click and select "Playback devices"

3). On the "Playback" tab select "Bluetooth Audio", and click "Set Default"

4). If you also need to use microphone, go to the "Recording" tab, select the connected headphones and click "Set Default".

Note: If there is still no sound after changing the above settings, please go to the audio setting from the application program and do the same default device settings. e.g. Skype

Tools - Options - Audio devices - Set the connected headphones as default
