If you encounter connection issues between your AirPods and SoundJet R1, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
1. Disable Dual Link: Keep in mind that AirPods (Pro) do not support dual link. Ensure that your Avantree transmitter is not attempting to establish a dual link connection with the AirPods.
2. Disable Bluetooth on Apple devices: AirPods prioritize connections with Apple products. Before pairing with Avantree transmitters, make sure to disable Bluetooth on any previously paired Apple devices. This includes your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and any other Apple devices in your vicinity.
- Go to the settings menu of each Apple device.
- Locate the Bluetooth settings.
- Turn off the Bluetooth function on each device
It is crucial to perform this step before attempting to pair your AirPods with SoundJet R1.
3. Reset Avantree SoundJet R1 and AirPods: If the connection issue persists, try resetting both the SoundJet R2 and your AirPods. Here's how:
- Reset Avantree SoundJet R1:
1. Turn on the SoundJet R1.
2. Press & hold both volume + & - buttons for 10 seconds to clear pairing history, the headphone indicator will be solid blue & red simultaneously for 3 seconds (looks pink), indicating that the SoundJet R1 has reset. It should then go into pairing mode and the headphone indicator will alternate between flashing RED & BLUE. - Reset AirPods:
1. Place your AirPods inside the charging case.
2. Close the case lid and wait for a few seconds.
3. Open the lid and locate the small button on the back of the case.
4. Press and hold the button until the LED light on the front starts flashing amber.
Release the button and wait for the AirPods to reconnect to your devices.
