The Headphones(Avantree AS50) that come with the Ensemble(HT5150) set can be used independently as regular Bluetooth headphones.
All Avantree TV headphone and transmitter sets come "FACTORY LOCKED". This means that as soon as they are turned on, they prioritize connecting with each other. They will automatically re-connect with each other rather than with any other previously paired devices.
With that in mind, here's how to use the headphones with another Bluetooth device.
1st Time Use:
Step 1: TURN OFF / UNPLUG the transmitter dock.
Step 2: Enter the Headphones into BLUETOOTH PAIRING MODE.
Please make sure that the headphone has been turned ON. Slide the power switch towards the Bluetooth icon and hold it there until the LED starts flashing RED & BLUE. You should also hear a "Pairing" voice prompt from the headphones.
Note: For Batch Numbers T22J1 and later (T22L1 if you purchased an individual pair of headphones), press and hold the play/pause button for 5 seconds or until the LED indicator starts flashing RED & BLUE. See pictured below. Where to find the batch number.
Step 3: Turn on Bluetooth on your Mobile Device. Search & Select HT5150 headphone (Name: Avantree AS50) to connect.
Reconnecting:
For subsequent uses, simply select HT5150 in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings, and the headphones will reconnect. Please ensure that your transmitter dock is turned OFF before doing so.
If you're still encountering trouble doing this, please feel free to email us at support@avantree.com.
