Avantree Cara Basic User Manual

Wireless Handsfree Car Kit and Audio Receiver

3. Setting up in car

Step 1. Insert the audio cable into Cara Basic 3.5mm audio output socket and your car’s AUX port

Step 2. Place the Cara Basic:

* Find a smooth and flat surface on the dashboard in front of you that is within easy reach but will not interfere with driving. For best voice pick-up, it should be as close to your mouth and as directly in front of you as possible. See below the image for some recommended areas:

* Make sure the surface is dry and free of dirt

* Stick the velcro to the dashboard

Step 3. Turn on your car stereo and set the input source to AUX

Step 4. Plug the car power adapter into the car

Step 5. Turn on Cara Basic and pair with your phone. After that you can use the car kit


4. Pairing and connecting

The first time you turn on Cara Basic it begins the pairing procedure

Step 1. While the car kit LEDs are flashing red and blue alternatively, activate Bluetooth on your phone, and set it to search for new devices.

Step 2. Select “Avantree Cara Basic” to pair and connected.

Step 3. Once successfully paired and connected, you will hear “Pairing completed".

If you want to pair another new phone, you can also go into pairing mode by pressing and holding the “MFB” button in 6seconds until the LED blinks alternatively blue and red.

Reconnect Bluetooth

Whenever you turn Cara Basic on again it will automatically reconnect to the phone.


5. Multipoint – Connect with two phones simultaneously

Step 1. Pair and connect Cara Basic with the first phone as above

Step 2. Get Cara Basic into pairing mode by pressing and holding the “MFB” button until the LED blinks blue and red alternatively

Step 3. Now the Cara Basic is on pairing mode agaie

Step 4. Pair and connect with the second phone as above

Step 5. Turn Cara Basic off and on again, it will automatically search and connect with the second phone first,  then you need to manual reconnect with the first phone


6. How to use

Power Switch Power On Slide power switch to "ON"
MFB button

Power Off Slide power switch to "OFF"
Anwer a call (Under calling mode) Press MFB once
End a call (During calling mode) Press MFB once
Reject a call (Under calling mode) Press and hold MFB for 1 second
Last Number Retail Double click MFB
Play/Pause music (Under music mode) Press MFB once
Get into pairing mode Press and hold MFB until the LED blinks alternatively RED and BLUE
