HT3187 - Troubleshooting - Short range / audio cuts

Here are the MOST common causes of short range/audio cut in-and-out:

1. Unstable Bluetooth connection

Occasionally a Bluetooth pairing can connect but for some reason it's unstable, e.g. BT transmitter and receiver connected to other unwanted BT devices. To fix this try clearing paired history of BOTH the Bluetooth transmitter(Priva III) and the Bluetooth receiver(Clipper Pro)

2. Wireless Signal Interference

Other wireless devices in the vicinity of the HT3187 may be affecting its range. To check whether this is the case try isolating the HT3187 by temporarily turning off all other nearby wireless devices such as an Apple TV, a Chromecast stick, a Roku stick, any other RF audio transmitters etc.

You may test in one different room / environment: connect the Priva III by wire to a mobile phone then transmit a song to the Clipper Pro. In this way you can see the ‘true’ range of the HT3187. If it works well, then we need to troubleshoot which of the other wireless devices in the environment is affecting its performance. If the ‘true’ range is very short, then we might be looking at a defective unit, in which case we will send you a replacement.

 

3. Source issue

When you play an internet source from PC, Mac or cellphone, quite often, the audio cuts are Internet bandwidth / speed related. Please test with local source Bluetooth streaming and check again.
