Priva III/IIA - Troubleshooting - Short range / audio cuts?

Avantree Priva III/IIA adopts Class 1 technology, its work range reaches up to 100ft/30m, which may varies due to different environment. 

Here are the MOST common causes of short range/audio cut in-and-out:

1. Unstable Bluetooth connection
Occasionally a Bluetooth pairing can connect but for some reason it's unstable, e.g. headphones or BT transmitter connected to other unwanted BT devices. To fix this try clearing pairing history of BOTH the Priva III/IIA and your Bluetooth enabled device.
It is very IMPORTANT to clear pairing history of BOTH devices.
 
2. Wireless Signal Interference
Other wireless devices in the vicinity of the Priva III/IIA may be affecting its range. To check whether this is the case try isolating the Priva III/IIA by temporarily turning off all other nearby wireless devices such as an Apple TV, a Chromecast stick, a Roku stick, any other RF audio transmitters etc.

You may test in one different room / environment: connect the Priva III/IIA by wire to a mobile phone then transmit a song to your Bluetooth headphones/speaker. In this way you can see the ‘true’ range of the transmitter. If it works well, then we need to troubleshoot which of the other wireless devices in the environment is affecting its performance. If the ‘true’ range is very short, then we might be looking at a defective unit, in which case we will send you a replacement.

3. Short work range of the other device

Work range is decided by devices on BOTH ends. Please test the work range of the other end device is ok - test it with your smart phone.

4. Source issue

When you play an internet source from PC, Mac or cellphone, quite often, the audio cuts are Internet bandwidth / speed related. Please test with local source Bluetooth streaming and check again.
